Mens et Manus

The exhibition 𝑀𝐸𝑁𝑆 𝐸𝑇 𝑀𝐴𝑁𝑈𝑆 displays work by the Icelandic artists Georg Óskar, Hulda Vilhjálmsdóttir, Kristín Morthens and Steingrímur Gauti Ingólfsson. The artists share a similar approach in their creative process, where feelings, experiences and the environment is part of the journey, coincidences and ideas leading towards the final result in an abstract and figurative outcome, here in the form of a painting.
The exhibition was first shown at the Icelandic Embassy of Iceland in Copenhagen and supported by Icelandair, Promote Iceland, Familie Hede-Nilsens Fond and Icelandic Art Center.

Á sýningunni 𝑀𝐸𝑁𝑆 𝐸𝑇 𝑀𝐴𝑁𝑈𝑆 eru valin verk eftir myndlistarmennina Georg Óskar, Huldu Vilhjálmsdóttur, Kristínu Morthens og Steingrím Gauta Ingólfsson. Listamennirnir eiga það sameiginlegt að vinna útfrá þeirra eigin tilfinningum, upplifunum og umhverfi þar sem sköpunarferlið sjálft, tilviljanir og hugskot leiða þau áfram í átt að lokaniðurstöðu, hver á sinn ólíka hátt.
Sýningin var áður sett upp í íslenska sendiráðinu í Danmörku og styrkt af Icelandair, Íslandsstofu, Familien Hede-Nilesens Fond og Kynningarmiðstöð íslenskrar myndlistar.
