Hanna Dís Whitehead takes another spin on previous works where interesting materials, colours, shapes and history are mixed together in a new way.
The energy of a chain reaction leads the process, one idea pushes the next.
Sometimes it would be ideal to take another spin on old ideas with new knowledge in your pocket. Projects and methods have continued to evolve, so it is time to get a new perspective on them.
In the exhibition you will see experiments with creating furniture from what was previously seen as a vessel, new methods in a mix with previous ideas and a play on material feeling. Some processes get the opportunity to be completed while others take the flight. Ideas piled up for the last ten years finally see the light of day.
Hanna Dís Whitehead tekur annan snúning á fyrri verkum þar sem áhugaverðum efnivið, litum, formum og sögu er blandað saman á nýjan hátt.
Orka keðjuverkunar leiðir eitt af öðru, ein hugmynd ýtir á þá næstu.
Stundum væri tilvalið að taka annan snúning á gömlum hugmyndum með nýja vitneskju í farteskinu. Verkefni og aðferðir hafa þróast áfram og því komin tími til að fá á þau nýtt sjónarhorn.
Á sýningunni verða gerðar tilraunir til að búa til húsgögn úr því sem áður var ílát, blanda saman nýjum aðferðum á fyrri hugmyndir og fá sömu sjónrænu efnistilfinningu út úr ólíkum efnivið. Sum ferli fá tækifæri til að klárast en önnur taka flugið. Skúffuhugmyndir líta loksins dagsins ljós.
