The Icelandic Photo Festival

The Icelandic Photography Festival (TIPF) is an international festival held January of every other year. The festival was first held in 2012 (under the name “Photography Days”).

The Festival’s main objective is to support and advance the photographic medium as an art form. The festival’s program includes photographic exhibitions with international and Icelandic artists, portfolio review, lectures, and photo book presentations.
The portfolio review is hosted by the Reykjavik Museum of Photography, which invites international as well as local museum directors, curators and professionals in the industry to the event.
Collaborators of TIPF 2022 are: The Reykjavik Museum of Photography, The National Museum of Iceland, The National Gallery of Iceland, Gerðarsafn – Kopavogur Art Museum, Hafnarborg Center of Culture and Fine Art, the Icelandic Contemporary Photography Association, Ramskram Gallery, Gallery Port, Ásmundarsalur and Berg Contemporary.
Co-Directors of TIPF are Katrín Elvarsdóttir and Pétur Thomsen.
Ljósmyndahátíð Íslands er alþjóðleg ljósmyndahátíð sem haldin er í janúar annað hvert ár. Hátíðin var fyrst haldin árið 2012 og þá undir nafninu Ljósmyndadagar. Markmið hátíðarinnar er að vinna að framþróun ljósmyndunar sem listforms. Á dagskrá hátíðarinnar eru ljósmyndasýningar með erlendum og íslenskum listamönnum, fyrirlestrar, ljósmyndabókakynningar og ljósmyndarýni.
Ljósmyndasafn Reykjavíkur skipuleggur ljósmyndarýnina og býður erlendum safnstjórum, sýningastjórum og fagfólki í greininni til landsins.
Samstarfsaðilar um Ljósmyndahátíð Íslands 2022 eru: Ásmundarsalur, BERG Contemporary, Félag íslenskra samtímaljósmyndara, Gallery Port, Gerðarsafn, Hafnarborg, Listasafn Íslands, Ljósmyndasafn Reykjavíkur, RAMskram, Þjóðminjasafn Íslands.
Stjórnendur hátíðarinnar eru Katrín Elvarsdóttir og Pétur Thomsen.
