Á málverki er útsaumur. Hann er fléttaður í gegnum grunninn, sem myndar hnit. Áður en grunnurinn verpist er hnitið búið að telja skref merkinga, sem ferðast um tíma og hafa staðnað hér í eftirvæntingu.

Það sem ég hafði ímyndað mér, voru kyrralífsmyndir af steingerðum formum útsaumsverka frá ýmist sautjándu og átjándu öld. Bogar, krókar og örvar eru mótífin sem mynda sögurammann á útsaumsverkunum og eru blá á litinn. Það er í gegnum þessi form sem ég hef reynt að snerta á því sem ég skil vera tíma, og tímarúm. Fléttusaumur, eða fléttusporið; vörpun boga/örva sem ganga í áttir, og á bakhlið beinar línur þvert á sína birtu hlið, hefur verið mitt áhugasvið.

There is embroidery on a painting. It is woven through the base forming a grid. Before the base warps and bends, the grid has counted the steps of markings, which traveled through time, and stopped here in anticipation.

What I had imagined, was a series of still life paintings with the petrified motifs of certain embroideries from the 18th Century. Bows, hooks, and arrows are the shapes that form the narrative frame on the embroideries in different shades of blue. It is through these motifs that I try to touch on what I understand as time, and its capacities. The braided cross-stitch (long-armed cross stitch); a projection of arrows going in directions, and straight lines across its reversed side, has been my subject matter.
